When you are paying for a product in our checkout, your payment will be processed by a third party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions.

SECTION 4 – PAYMENT

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

SECTION 5 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Our Internal Analytics Tool

In order to better understand how our services are used, we monitor certain user activities that take place within our products, including page views and clicks on any links used when managing a site via our dashboards.

We use this information to improve our products, make our marketing to you more relevant, personalize your experience, and for the other purposes described in our Privacy Policy.

You may opt out of our analytics program through your user settings. By doing so, you won’t share information with our analytics tool about events or actions that happen after the opt-out, while logged in to your WordPress.com account. We process data largely in the United States, where many of our servers are located, and where our parent business is based.

You have the right to see the personal information we have about you, have it updated, or deleted if you're a user in the EU.

If you have any issues about how we handle your personal information, you also have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

You have the right to object at any time to the way we are processing your personal information, and you have the right to revoke your marketing consent at any time.

In certain circumstances, such as where your access to data puts another person's privacy rights at risk or the ongoing processing of your data is required to satisfy a legal requirement, we reserve the right to refuse or restrict fulfilment of your request. If this is the case, we will let you know why this request was denied.

SECTION 11 – CALIFORNIA CITIZENS

We won't treat any Californian who submits such a request differently.

Each year, you have the ability to submit up to two access requests.

• ask us to stop "selling" (according to the CCPA) your personal information at any time.

You can get in touch with us and make the aforementioned requests. The information you give us as part of your request will only be used to carry out your request; we won't use it for any other reason.

Such requests may also be made via an authorised agent. Please provide us a notarized power of attorney or letter appointing the agent in order to designate one. Requests from agents who fail to provide this documentation proving that you have given them permission to act on their behalf will be rejected.

The majority of our servers and offices are located in the US, as is the US headquarters of our parent firm. Please be aware that any information you give us or that we learn about you as a result of your use of the website, an account, or other services we offer will be handled in the United States and governed by American law.
